14th Swadist Biscope Award Bestowed on Renowned Actress Aparajita Mohanty

Cuttack:11/12/17;Swadist Biscope Awards was held on 10th,December,2017(Sunday) at Saheed Bhavan ,cuttack, 14th Swadist  Biscope Award was bestowed on renowned actress, producer Aparajita Mohanty  for having served the Odia film industry for three  decades . Aparajita Mohanty  received a Biscope memento along with cash prize of twenty five thousand from her childhood Friend and English Professor of Gangadhar Meher College Sambalpur  Dr. Smita Devi,The color full event went off with mimicry show and 90 minute documentary on the life of Aparajita Mohanty was screened for the audience.The award instituted by Home Video Entertainment group carries cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and a Bioscope of filigree work


Aparajita Mohanty, is a beautiful, versatile and leading Odia actress She was born on May 15, 1965, in OdishaShe had acted number one Odia films during her illustrious career he started her acting career in 1980 through Odia movie “Astaraga”. Till date she has acted in more than hundred movies. Now she is busy doing character roles in movies and tele-serial
She is married to legendary Odia actor Uttam Mohanty. Both the husband-wife have acted together and have gifted the audience with many hit films in Ollywood. Their son, Tanmay Mohanty, popularly known as Babushan has also entered into the Odia Film Industry through Odia movie “Romeo:the Lover Boy” under the banner of “Brajraj Movies”

The Bioscope award has gained immense popularity over the years due to its unique format. The ceremony involves a 90minute screen and live show in documentary format depicting the life and career of the recipients. The presentation combines audiovisual clips of the recipient’s outstanding works with live performances based on him/her

The Entertainment group along with Fit Fat and Swadist  Company has been giving this award since 2003 to Odia film personalities for their contributions to Odia cinema., Eminent film producer and director Parvati Ghosh, Prashant Nanda, Music director Swarup Naik, comedy king Jairam Samal, lead actor Uttam Mohanty, producer Basant Nayak, actress Mahasweta Ray,Music director Prafulla Kar  and director Raju Mishra,Singer Trupati Das,Director and actor Bijya Mohanty,Dialouge and Script Writer Bijya Mishra   are the earlier recipients. President of Home Video, Mr Bapu lenka ,SandipAgarwal,MDSwadist Company and ace cinematographer Ashok Mohanty  organized  and host the function. Newgeneration actor Swaraj was also invited as guest for the evening.Bijaya Mall has co ordinate the showSilpi Ashok had mesmerized audience by drawing Bioscope Awardee Aparajita portrait  within while.
