Sova Ray : Granddaughter of Kabibar Radhanath Roy passed away

Cuttack:7/12/17; Sova Ray  Eminent sanskrit scholar and Granddaughter of Kabibar Radhanath Roy  passed  away in her kaligali residence in to day morning at the age of 95,She was an eldest daughter of Late Durga Charan Ray who had penned Kabibar Radhanath Autobiography.Durga Charan Roy was son in law of  Sasibhusan Roy(son of Kabibar Radha nathh Roy).Among the three daughter of  Sasibhusan Roy,Middle daughter Sumati Roy was mother of Sova Roy.she was born on August 12,1922 at the residence of Kabibra Radhanath Kaligali residence.She had purse her school Education from Ravenshaw Girls High school cuttack,graduated from Ravenshaw  College and did her post graduate degree in Sanskrit from Calcutta university.In 1948 he had joined as lecturer in Ravenshaw college.She had dedicated her life for education for which she was unmarried.She had retired as a principal of Sailabala Womens College. several eminent personalities reached her residence to offer their last tributes to the departed soul.
