Tension has mounted up in Kanti village following bombs being thrown

Pipili:2/12/17: Tension has mounted up in Kanti village under Pipili police station jurisdiction of Puri district following bombs being thrown at the village marketplace by a group of bike-borne miscreants.

A local resident Rama Chandra Dalei was seriously injured as one of the country-made bombs fell on him. He has been shifted to capital hospital in Bhubaneswar, police said.

Situation is tense but under control. Armed police deployment has been made at the village. Police are keeping close watch on the situation. A special squad has been constituted to nab the culprits, police said.
