Bhubaneswar:16/11/17; Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan today inaugurated the first of its kind Petrochemical Investors Conclave here.
The one-day conclave named ‘Purvodaya – The Dawn of New Investment Opportunities’ is organed under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will serve as a platform for potential investors to interact with policy-makers, domestic and international majors in petrochemicals, financers, licensors, technology-providers, equipment suppliers and processors, to discuss and deliberate on the emerging investment opportunities in eastern India, particularly Odisha.While addressing the conclave Pradhan said that Prime Minister Narendra has given due focus to the development of the eastern region of the country.
The conclave in Bhubaneswar is a part of the Union Government’s endeavour to build a world -class petrochemical ecosystem and catalyse investments in the downstream Plastic Parks and Textile Parks that were proposed to be developed in eastern India, said Pradhan.“And Paradip will be the region, in particular which will draw investment in petroleum, chemicals and petrochemicals,” added the Minister.Apart from State Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera and MSME Minister Prafulla Samal, senior officials of the Ministries of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Chemicals and Fertilisers, CEOs of oil and gas sector companies and other dignitaries have taken part in the conclave.
