Damodar Rout is in controversy again for calling Brunda Sahu as BJP party man

Bhubaneswar13/11/17:  Odisha Agriculture Minister Damodar Rout is in controversy again for calling Brunda Sahu as BJP party man.

A high-level committee, headed by the Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Sunday arrived at Bhubaneswar to assess the drought situation and pest menace in Odisha.

Reportedly, the Minister on Monday inspected the pest affected land in Sonepur district and later met the family of deceased farmer Brunda Sahu in Bargarh.

In this regard, Dama Rout said to media persons that the deceased Bargarh farmer Brunda Sahu was not from his party and he might be a BJP party man so Shekhawat went to meet his family members.

Reacting to Doma’s statement, Shekhawat said, the minister’s statement is very unfortunate as it is our responsibility to look after the problems of farmers without making it a political issue.
