Odisha police felicitated an expedition team comprising of 42 commandos of National Security Guard

Bhubaneswar:2/10/17; The Odisha police felicitated an expedition team, comprising of 42 commandos of National Security Guard (NSG) riding on 15 Royal Enfield motorcycles on an awareness rally to ‘Fight against terror- A collective responsibility’, here on Sunday.

DGP RP Sharma emphasized on the formation of a special force in Odisha Police in line with the National Security Guard (NSG).

The NSG team that embarked on the journey on September 7 from its training camp at Manesar in Haryana to sensitize citizens about latter’s role in checking terrorism so far covered a distance of over 5,500 kms in six states, arrived here and held a meeting with senior officials of the Commissionerate Police.

The NSG team described citizens of the country as ‘eyes and ears’ of security forces and exhorted the public to remain vigilant towards terror suspects.
