Naveen Patnaik urged Union Road Transport & Highways Minister to expedite various National Highway projects in the State

New Delhi27/9/17:: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged Union Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari to expedite various National Highway (NH) projects in the State and a flyover at Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar at a meeting in New Delhi.

Naveen discussed with the Union Minister about road infrastructure issues in the state and asked him to take urgent steps f or early completion of National Highway projects.

I urged the minister to finalise the tender processes and complete pending critical works on National Highways in Odisha involving 6 stretches and road length up to 585 km, Patnaik told media persons after his meeting with Gadkari.

The CM also urged the Union Minister to construct a flyover at Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar and at Gohira Chhak leading to Infovalley-2 near Khurda on NH-16 early.

Besides, he asked the Union Minister to declare 12 roads having a length of 1,193 km as NH and lastly to approve 30 eligible state roads of 2,483 km length as new National Highways as per proposals submitted in December 2016.
