Bhubaneswar:21/9/17:Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) made a presentation before Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on BMC’s new 12-storeyed office at Janpath. Highlights of the meeting:

  • The architectural design for the same was presented and finalised. Its construction will commence from January, 2018. The completion will take about two and a half years.
    • New building with Intelligent City Operations & Management Centre will help fulfill infra requirements of SmartCityBhubaneswar
    • Bhubaneswar was a Notified Area Council in 1948, a Municipal Council in 1979 and a Municipal Corporation in 1994. In 2016, it was named the No. 1 Smart City in the country

Chief Minister advised BMC officials to work towards ensuring that Bhubaneswar maintains its status as the No.1 Smart City in the country.
