The five-day-long exhibition-cum-seminar on ‘New India – We Resolve to Make’ concluded

Bhubaneswar:13/9/17: The five-day-long exhibition-cum-seminar on ‘New India – We Resolve to Make’ organised Ministry of Parliamentary affairs in association with by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and DAVP at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar concluded today with a talk on corruption free India.

Mr Sarat Chandra Mishra, former DG of Police, Mr Jagadananda, former Chief Information Commissioner of the state were the invited speakers for valedictory session on the resolution “to make country free of corruption” organised by MCL. Mr Sudhakar Panda, Director, Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, was the chief guest while Mr Munawar Khurseed, IRPF, Chief Vigilance Officer, MCL, presided over the session.

The Speakers shared their rich administrative experiences with the audience, which predominantly comprised youth from various institutions of higher learning in Bhubaneswar. In his address on vision New India, Mr Khursheed, CVO, MCL noted that collective participation of the youth could make India free of corruption. “Youth is the backbone of the our nation and a force that play a decisive role in making India corruption free,” he said. Mr Khursheed also administered pledges to make the country free of corruption; free of poverty; free of filth; free of communalism; free of terrorism and free of casteism on vision New India.

During this five-day-long event, talks were organised on resolutions ‘To make the country free of Filth’, ‘Parliamentary democracy’, ‘Skill India’, ‘communalism free India’ and ‘Corruption free India’. Certificates were also distributed for among students for their participation in the talk shows. The exhibition-cum-seminar was inaugurated on 9th of September, 2017 by Mr Dharmendra Pradhan,Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

The exhibition was focused on India’s freedom movement from 1857 to 1947 showing the various activities initiated to attain the freedom from the British rule – “The First War of Independence, 1857”, “The Champaran Satyagrah”, “The Non-Co-operation movement”, “The Dandi Yatra” and the Quit India Movement. The vision of New India from 2017 to 2022 — when country will be celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence – was also showcased is the exhibition, which has multimedia and pictorial presentations. Youth and school children showed keen interest pre-independence movements showcased in the exhibition.
