Odisha Assembly adjourned for the day after obituary

Bhubaneswar:7/9/17: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned for the day after obituary references soon after the monsoon session began today.

The Speaker Pradip Kumar Amat and members of State Assembly including Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra and MLA Pradeep Purohit read the obituary references to the sitting member of Bijepur Assembly constituency Late Subal Sahu, former MLA Sura Sethi and Ex-Constable Laxmikant Jani of Odisha Police.


Amat described their losses as irreparable and all the members of the house stood in silence as a mark of respect. The Speaker later adjourned the house for the day till tomorrow in respect of the departed souls.
