Hearing of the litigation relating to the alleged poll fund irregularities of CM Naveen Patnaik was deferred

Bhubaneswar:6/9/17: The hearing of the litigation relating to the alleged poll fund irregularities of CM Naveen Patnaik was deferred today with a sitting judge of Orissa High Court referring the matter to the Chief Justice.

Declining to adjudicate the case any further, Justice SK Mishra called from constitution of a separate bench for the hearing of the case.

Alleging irregularities and improprieties perpetrated by Patnaik as a contestant in Hinjili assembly constituency, the defeated BJP candidate Debanand Mahapatra and RTI campaigner Subhash Mohapatra had sought the high court’s intervention in the matter through separate petitions.
