Sick and ailing tribal people continue to be carried on cot in Gaudapani village

Baripada.3/9/17; In what portrays abysmal lack of rural infrastructure, sick and ailing tribal people continue to be carried on cot in Gaudapani village under Kuleisila gram panchayat of Rairangpur block of Mayurbhanj district.

The tribal settlers of the remote village are virtually living in Dark Age. They are yet to taste the fruit of development despite claims of government agencies.

Locals carry the sick people in slings or cots suspended from bamboo poles. The locals undertake three-KM-long ardous journey along the hilly terrains to reach the nearby government-run dispensaries.
