Central Team In Mahanga To Probe PMAY Irregularities

Salipur:23/8/17: A four-member team comprising officials of Ministry of Panchayati Raj today visited Mahanga in Cuttack district to probe into alleged irregularities in allocation of funds for construction of pucca houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Acting on the directive of Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, the Chief Controller of Accounts sent the team to audit funds allocated under 14th Finance Commission for rural housing scheme. Earlier, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan wrote to Tomar urging him to probe the alleged irregularities in selection of beneficiaries under PMAY-G (gramin) in Mahanga.
