Prabasi Odia organisations from across India felicitated Odisha Chief Minister

 

New Delhi:20/8/17: A large number of Non-Resident Odia organisations from across India including the National Capital Region, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore felicitated the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for being awarded as the Best Administrator in the country here today.

Chief Minister received the prestigious Outlook Speakout Award-2017 as the Best Administrator in the country from the former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee at a glittering function held in the national capital yesterday.

Prabasi Odia community hailed the leadership of Chief Minister, his administrative acumen, unquestionable integrity and his total dedication to people. They highlighted on how his leadership has enabled Odisha to gain recognition from the World Bank as a leader in the implementation of business reforms and in making Odisha as the most favoured investment destination in the country. The strong Prabasi Odia community expressed their gratitude to him for bringing about the highest poverty reduction in the country, raising over 80 lakh persons above the poverty line and for sharpest decline in the infant mortality rate, saving lives of over 50, 000 newborn babies every year.

Prabasi Odia community spoke at length on how his initiatives have led to empowerment of vulnerable sections including women, children, scheduled castes & scheduled tribes and transformed Odisha’s agriculture. They underlined the achievements of the State in bringing about self-sufficiency in food grain production, for contributing to the national food security and for enabling the State to become the third largest contributor to the Public Distribution System.
