CBI court here has allowed arrested Mayurbhanj MP Rama Chandra Hansdah to cast his vote

Bhubaneswar:5/8/17: The CBI court here has allowed arrested Mayurbhanj MP Rama Chandra Hansdah to cast his vote in the Vice Presidential election.

After receiving court’s permission, Hansdah left for New Delhi this morning to cast his vote in Parliament.

Worth mentioning, he had earlier applied for permission to vote in the Presidential election but the same was not granted by the court.

The MP, who is presently lodged in the Jharpada Special Jail here for his alleged links with Nabadiganta Capital Services Pvt Ltd, a major player in the Odisha chit fund scam, was suspended from the BJD since his arrest by the CBI in November, 2014.
