Skilled workers staged demonstration in front of Paradip refinery complex

Paradip:3/8/17; Hundreds of skilled workers staged demonstration in front of Paradip refinery complex to register their protest against state-run oil company’s step motherly attitude towards skilled human resources from the local area.

The company has outsourced specific nature of works to private farms. However private farms are prioritising the engagement of workforce from outside the state while relegating the meritorious claim of local job seekers.

There are several instances of retrenchment of local workers who were replaced from workers from states like Bihar and Jharkhand, the protesting workers alleged.

Mrs. Manjushree Singh, Chief Manager, (administration and welfare), said “the company has resolved to safeguard the interest of local skilled and unskilled workers. Right from the day.
