GUWAHATI:1/8/17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the damage caused by recent floods in Assam during his visit to the state on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister, who arrived at the Lokopriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport here, was received by governor Banwarilal Purohit and chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
From the airport, he flew by a helicopter to the Veterinary College Ground at Khanapara here.
The Prime Minister then drove to the nearby Assam Administrative Staff College where he held a series of review meetings. In the first meeting with the chief minister, his cabinet colleagues and senior state government officials, the Prime Minister reviewed the flood situation and infrastructural damage, official sources said.
