Titalagarh: An Additional District Judge (ADJ) Court at Titlagarh on Friday sentenced four persons including, the master mind Alok Das to life time imprisonment in connection with the Titilagarh youth BJD leader Abhimanyu Sahu’s murder case.
A was brutally killed in December 2013 over political enmity.
Source said, the ADJ Court convicted Alok Das the mastermind of the murder and his aides Santosh Rana, Jagdish Bag and Naresi Singh of Titilagarh under various section of IPC including 302 and 120 (B) and Arms Act.
“Even if there were no eyewitnesses, the court convicted the four accused under various circumstantial evidences. Alok Das was the mastermind behind the brutal murder of Titilagarh youth BJD leader Abhimanyu Sahu. He and his aides Santosh Rana, Jagdish Bag and Naresi Singh had killed Sahu while he was on his morning walk on December 2013,” said Special Public Prosecutor Dharnidhar Nayak.
The Crime Branch had field the final charge sheet against the four accused on April, 2014 and had accused Alok Das of conspiring the murder. Alok has been sentenced to additional five year rigorous imprisonment under the Arms Act. All the accused have been convicted based on the circumstantial evidence, added Nayak.
