Bhubaneswar:27/7/17: JSPL chairman Naveen Jindal on Thursday once again met the Odisha Government with regard to supply of raw materials, especially coal for the JSPL Angul plant.
Sources said that the JSPL chairman met senior officials at Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and a few bureaucrats at the State Secretariat on the day.
Briefing media after the meeting, Naveen Jindal said, “So far the raw material is concerned, required iron ore is available in Odisha. We hope the production of iron ore in Odisha will increase. So, no problem with iron ore.”
“Coal is being imported by us. Coal is posing a major problem. MCL’s coal shortage is very often. We’ve heard that MCL is also facing problem with running its mines. If coal problem is resolved, we’ll import it less. We’re running our plant by importing coal,” the JSPL chief stated.
