JSPL conducted a mass plantation programme

Barbil:23/7/17: Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), Barbil conducted a mass plantation programme under the company’s ‘Deojhar Hariyali Project’ here yesterday. As many as 500 saplings were planted in the first phase of the ongoing project, in which the company aims to plant around 3,000 saplings in this monsoon season.

Dangoaposi division of South Eastern Railways (SER), facilitated land adjacent to the Deojhar railway station for the plantation drive.

Executive Vice President and Unit Head of JSPL, Barbil, G Suresha started the grand event by planting saplings. Braving heavy rain, senior officials and employees of JSPL also planted saplings on the occasion.Assistant Divisional Engineer Sourav Raj and Engineer D. Pradhan of Dangoaposi division were also present on the occasion. JSPL Barbil unit Environment Management Division (EMD) head Subodh Kumar Singh coordinated the programme.
