New Delhi:21/7/17: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik called on the new elected President of India, Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi today and congratulated him for being elected to the highest constitutional office of the country.
He conveyed the best wishes to the President-elect on behalf of the people of Odisha and expressed his confidence that the President-elect would protect the sublime values enshrined in our Constitution for the benefit of every Indian.
NDA’s candidate Ram Nath Kovind has been declared as the 14th President of India on Thursday.
Ram Nath Kovind garnered 65.65 percent of votes, which translates to 7,02,644 votes and Meira Kumar managed to bag 34.35 percent votes, which amounts to 1,67,314 votes
