Bomb Hurled At Residence Of CMC Deputy Mayor

Cuttack: 19/7/17:Bike-borne miscreants today hurled bomb at the residence of Deputy Mayor of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Ajay Barik, near Palamandap in Badambadi Colony in Cuttack.

The glass of a car parked in front of Barik’s house was shattered in the bomb blast. However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

has been alleged that Barik was targeted for his involvement in the eviction of hawkers from Badambadi bus stand.

It is for the second time that bomb was hurled at Barik’s home; the first incident being reported back in 2013. Meanwhile, senior officials of Commissionerate Police are conducting on the spot investigation.
