BSF Chopper Makes Emergency Landing On Village Road

Bhubaneswar:18/7/17: Unable to negotiate inclement weather condition, the pilot of a Border Security Force (BSF) chopper was forced to make an emergency landing today afternoon hours on a pucca road near Badamguda village under Dasamantapur block under Odisha’s Koraput district.

The seven seater chopper was on its way from Bhubaneswar to Koraput BSF camp when the emergency landing occurred. It was raining heavily. Besides there was poor visibility. Therefore the pilot opted for emergency landing as a precautionary step. The crews of the chopper were safe and no damage was caused to the BSF copter, local police officials said.

Curious crowd comprising local residents braving heavy rains rushed to the spot of the emergency land to catch glimpse of the chopper.
