Manoj Kujur of the Steel City make the whole country proud

Rourkela:17/7/17: Sheer talent, determination and hard work have helped Manoj Kujur of the Steel City make the whole country proud by clinching the top spot in the hip-hop category of the Dance World Cup in Canada. His team represented India while teams from 35 other countries had also participated.

Though his family had initially not supported his passion for dance much, Manoj used to learn the moves by watching legends of hip-hop on Youtube. “He would always be busy in dance practice and would not listen to us even if dissuaded. I have seen him perform on stage only once at his school,” said Yamuna, Manoj’s mother.

Manoj and his local friends received a standing ovation for their performance at the Dance World Cup.

“I wish to pursue choreography in Bollywood,” said Manoj.
