Managing Committee meeting of Puri Lord Jagannath Temple review the Rath Yatra festivities

Puri13/7/17:: Managing Committee meeting of Puri Lord Jagannath Temple will be held today to review the recently completed Rath Yatra festivities including Bahuda Yatra, Suna Besha and Niladri Bije. Discussion regarding the discipline maintained during the Rath Yatra is likely to be held in the meeting.

Review of ‘Snana Yatra‘ proceedings and its arrangements had been held in the earlier two managing committee meetings, whereas discussion on other regular affairs were left out due to time constraint. It will be discussed in today’s meeting, informed Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief Pradeep Jena. Talking to media persons, Jena said, “The managing committee meeting will be held at 11 am. In the last two meetings we only addressed the urgent matters. We were not able to discuss on the common agenda due to time constraint, so the committee will sit for two sessions and hold discussion of the pending issues along with Rath Yatra review.”

The meeting will be chaired by Puri Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb. It is likely to be the last meeting of the managing committee as its tenure will be over this month.
