Puri:11/7/17: Internationally-acclaimed Odisha sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik today staged a dharna at Bankimuhan sea beach in Puri demanding cleaning of the beach.

The artist is protesting through his sand art to save the beach from pollution where he stated a sit-in along with his students.

“I will not budge from here until the government begins beach cleaning,” he said.

We have taken the issue seriously. The project for cleaning the beach pollution has already been approved. The tender will be sanctioned within seven days and we are trying for permanent solution to the problem, said Puri Collector Arvind Agarwal.
