23% Programme Expenditure Increase in Odisha by June End

Bhubaneswar:11/7/17: The Programme Expenditure in the State increased by 23% by end of June 2017 in comparison to the corresponding period of last fiscal year.

The secretaries meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today discussed the expenditure updates and outlined the issues for discussion with regard to post-GST scenario.

Chief Secretary Padhi advised finance department to organize a thematic workshop on GST for reorienting the heads of the Departments towards post GST scenario. All the departments were directed to identify one Content Manager for handling of social media of the department. It was decided that a common web portal for all departments would be developed on open source based platform which would be linked to all departmental portals and social media. Development Commissioner Sri R. Balakrishnan, participating in the discussion advised to manage the social media in most professional manner and extend the outreach of Govt through it.
