Dutee Chand and Srabani Nanda losst out , Amilya Mallick too failed to bring any medal

 Bhubaneswar:9/7/17: Odia sprinters Dutee Chand and Srabani Nanda losst out on medal in women’s 200m finals in 22nd Asian Athletics Championships held at the Kalinga Stadium here on Sunday.

Dutee finished fourth and Srabani stood at fifth position.

“I was a bit nervous before beginning the race and the weather condition also slightly affected my performance,” said Dutee, who is a regular sprinter in the 200m category.

“The weather condition was fine and everything was okay. But it was not my day,” said Srabani.

In Men’s 200m final, Amilya Mallick too failed to bring any medal as he finished seventh.

He clocked a timing of 21.03 seconds, his best timing ever. He was earlier disqualified in Men’s 100m qualifying round and 4x100m finals.

India’s Archana Adhav stunned everyone to win Gold in Women’s 800m today while Jinson Johnson bagged Bronze in Men’s 800m.
