Biju Yuva Janata Dal protesting VK Singh remarks over special category status.

Bhubaneswar:15/6/17: The Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD) activists on Wednesday burnt the effigy of Union Minister of State for External Affairs General VK Singh protesting his remarks over Odisha’s demand for special category status.

A delegation led by BYJD president Sanjay Das Burma submitted a memorandum to Governor SC Jamir.

They staged protest near the Raj Bhavan and burnt effigy of the union minister.

Notably, on Tuesday Singh said that Odisha has failed to achieve the desired level of development, dismissing the demand for special category status to it.
