Action will be taken about irregularities in MGNREGS

Bolangir:15/6/17: After the exclusive broadcast about irregularities on a private tv channel in MGNREGS government funds worth lakhs in Bolangir district, State Government on Wednesday said probe will be initiated into the scam and action will be taken based on the findings.

“I will direct for an enquiry into the issue. I have also decided to visit at least two to three districts every month and inspect ground zero progress of various developmental projects at block level,” Panchayati Raj Minister Pradip Maharathy told media persons here on Wednesday. The issue came to limelight after an RTI activist found some important documents directly linked to irregularities in MGNREGS projects in Mahulapati GP in the district.
