FLAVOUR OF RAJA FEST MARKS CITY STREET EVENT

Bhubaneswar:12/6/17:The 30th episode of the Patha Utsav this Sunday was observed here with the flavour of Raja festival and a rain theme.

Activists distributed sweet betel with spices which is traditional partner of Raja. The rain-washed stretches of Janpath brought thousands of pedestrians to the event. Early hours of the event were spirited with yoga and physical exercises supported by organisations like Sahaj Yoga.

The Wish Anusthan served sweet paan and traditional Odia dishes.

Apart from the festive mood, some social organisations had a lot of awareness activity on issues relating to child labour on the eve of the World Day against Child Labour which falls on June 12. The PECUC organised an awareness rally from Master Canteen to the Ram Mandir.

Skaters and cyclists dominated the other part of the activity zone till end of the event. At the main stage, eminent Ollywood singer Susmita Dash gave a thunderstorm performance under showers of raindrops which kept the audience for hours.

Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda, MP Prasanna Patsani, Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena and Corporators were among the participants.
