School and college students of the locality staged a dharna demanding proper road connectivity

Rayagada, May 30:

In a unique protest over lack of road to a village in Odisha’s Rayagada, school and college students of the locality staged a dharna in front of the district Collector Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar’s residence here today. According to reports, the students of Podomara village under Kumbhikota police limits in the district staged a sit-in before the official’s house demanding proper road connectivity to their village.

In a letter to the collector, the students said that though their village is one KM away from Rayagada-Koraput main road, it is yet to get proper road despite repeated complaints in this regard.
