Bhubaneswar: Kalpana Dash, the first Odia woman who had scaled the Mount Eeverest, was admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Monday night after she complained of severe stomach ache.Though the exact cause of her ache is not known yet, her condition is stated to be stable now.She is reportedly undergoing treatment at the Surgery ward of the SCB Medical College and Hospital.8.Notably, Kalpana was the first Odia to conquer the Mount Everest in 2008.She has also successfully scaled the highest peaks of other four continents- Mount KiliManjaro (Africa) in 2014, Mount Aconcagua (South America) in January, 2015, Mount Elbrus (Europe) in July, 2015, and Mount Kosciuszko (Australia) in December, 2015.
