Odisha Government has a target of record 60 lakh tonnes of both Kharif and Rabi paddy

Bhubaneswar:25/4/17 Odisha Government has a target of record 60 lakh tonnes of both Kharif and Rabi paddy procurement this year.

This was informed to media on Tuesday by Odisha Food Supplies Secretary Pradipta Mohapatra at the State Secretariat here.

Mohapatra said, “This year our State is going to have a record procurement of paddy. In the past years, the paddy procurement was limited to 51-52 lakh tonne. This year we have a target of 60 lakh tonne procurement inclusive of both Kharif and Rabi. It’ll be a record in itself.”
