Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to leave on a five-day Delhi visit

Bhubaneswar:22/4/17; Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to leave on a five-day visit to the national capital today, his second visit to Delhi in a month, amid speculation of non-BJP parties planning to field a united candidate for the ensuing presidential elections.

Responding to media query, before his visit, CM Naveen Patnaik said that he would raise the issue of Special Status for Odisha.

It should be noted that the meeting of NITI Aayog’s Governing Council, the top decision making body headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Sunday. The council, with all chief ministers on board, will also discuss 3-year action plan and 7-year development strategies.
