BN Mohapatra has assumed office as the Financial Commissioner of Indian Railways

Newdelhi:17/4/17:Odisha born Indian Railway Accounts Service officer BN Mohapatra has assumed office as the Financial Commissioner of Indian Railways at Railway Board, New Delhi. Prior to this, he was working as Additional Member/Finance of Railway Board at New Delhi.

Mohapatra, a Post Graduate with Political Science from Delhi University, joined Indian Railways Accounts Service in 1980. Thereafter, he worked in various capacities in Khurda Road, Chakradharpur, Kharagpur, Bilaspur Railway Divisions and also in South Eastern Railway Headquarters at Garden Reach, Kolkata. He was posted as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in Tinsukia Railway Division of North East Frontier Railway.
