Sambalpuri Saree will be Marketed by Amazon India

Sonepur: 11/4/17:Now shop your own Odishan symbol of elegance, the a,Sambalpuri ssaree, from Amazon Indi with the latest designs and unique patterns. The company has signed an MoU with the weavers of the district thereby guaranteeing market access and source of income for them, besides giving the six yard handwoven wonder a wider reach.

Amazon is also providing training to the weavers on ways to sell their products on the website.

“Products in retail outlets remain unsold as a lot of customers are unable to visit the stores. However, through this online mode, the weavers will be able to sell their products and also get employment,” said weaver Nityanand Meher.
