Bhubaneswar: 11/4/17:The Odisha Secondary School Teachers Association (OSTA) has expressed its opposition towards the Government’s decision to remove VIII class from secondary education grade.
During a statewide workshop held at Pantha Niwas here to discuss various aspects necessary for upbringing of quality education in the state, the association demanded that despite of detaching VIII class from secondary education and shifting to upper primary level, the government should focus on repairing school infrastructures and recruiting teachers for separate subjects.
Being the chief guest, School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra attended the meeting and assured the association for modification of the decision.
