Naveen clarifying to media that Gita will not join politics.

Bhubaneswar:3/4/17: The speculations that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s sister Gita Mehta could be BJD’s new Rajya Sabha member ended today with Naveen clarifying to media that she will not join politics.

When asked by journalists today if Gita, who lives in the USA, will take up any major role in BJD, Naveen said that she has no plans to become a Rajya Sabha member of BJD or take any post in the party.

There were speculations since the last few days after her frequent visits to Bhubaneswar that she might take up the mantle of the party with BJD now fostering change within after the panchayat polls.
