Bhubaneswar:3/4/17: Demanding a hike in price of milk, the farmers today staged demonstration in front of the OMFED office here at Saheed Nagar by pouring down complete food. Their demands include Rs 30 per /litre . They also demanded the cattle food should be provided to them at Rs 18/kg.

Inclusion of milk in mid-day meal scheme and loan at one per cent interest rate are also some other demands of the milk farmers.

Around hundreds farmers under the banner of Odisha Milk Farmers’ Association staged protest in an innovative way by distributing liquid commodity to some poor people. They also poured gallons of milk down in front of the office to put forth their demand.
