Archaeological Survey of India submitted an affidavit

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) submitted an affidavit at the Odisha High Court today informing about the start of second layer grouting work of the eight damaged pockets of Jagamohan, the hall facing the 12th century shrine of Lord Jagannath in Puri.
ASI will hand over the repair work to the Works Department after completion of the grouting within Thursday. The Works Department will than start installation of stainless steel portal frames.
Meanwhile the High Court has instructed the ASI and Odisha Government to submit affidavit on the repair status till March 15. The next hearing on the case was scheduled to March 16.
