Ravenshaw VC’s Resignation Turned Down

Bhubaneswar: By OdishaNews Times Bureau On Mar 6, 2017: The Governor of Odisha, SC Jamir who is also the Chancellor of the Ravenshaw University on Monday refused to accept the resignation of the varsity’s vice chancellor, Prakash Sarangi over student unrest and excessive political interference in the institution’s matters.
Earlier today, Sarangi had tendered his resignation to the governor following further student unrest. Following his resignation, the governor invited Prakash for discussions. After holding discussions, the governor refused to accept the resignation, informed Prakash.The Chancellor assured him for providing adequate support to overcome this instable situation in the University and asked him to continue his service as Vice chancellor.
