Odisha Crime Branch visited Koraput landmine blast area

Bhubaneswar:(ONT Bureau)3/2/17; A five-member team of the Odisha Crime Branch (CB) led by DSP PK Mishra visited Koraput today to probe into the landmine blast occurred in Sunki Ghat area in the district on Wednesday that claimed lives of eight Odisha State Armed Police (OSAP) personnel.
A three-member forensic team would assist the CB team in the investigation. The instigating officials would investigate on various grounds of the incident like how and under what circumstance the explosion took place and what kind of explosives were used.
On the other hand, the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) sought a report on the incident from the Home Department Principal Secretary and the DGP. The OHRC asked them to submit a report on whether the standard operation procedure was followed that day within two weeks.
