Governor SC Jamir Bestows President Medals On 16 Cops

Bhubaneswar: The President’s Police Medals were bestowed by Odisha Governor SC Jamir on 16 police personnel including two IPS officers today during a State-level function held at Jayadev Bhawan here.
While IG Police (Railways) Vinaytosh Mishra and Inspector CID Prasanna Kumar Dash were given the Police Medal for distinguished service, Malkangiri SP Mitrabhanu Mahapatra and Kalahandi SP Brijesh Kumar Ray were awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry.
Sergeant Chandra Sekhar Dash and Sub-Inspector Rabindra Sabar were also given the Police Medal for Gallantry at the function.
Besides, 11 police personnel were given the Police Medals for Meritorious Service by the Governor during the function, which was attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as well.

The Police Medal for Meritorious Service was given to 11 personnel including Vigilance Directorate Ajit Kumar Dash, Kharvela Nagar IIC Sanjeeb Kumar Satpathy, Inspector (Special Branch) Biswanath Tarini, Vigilance SI Bhargabi Prusty and Vigilance ASI Anjan Kumar Mishra.
