Orissa Stevedores Limited helped the Paradeep port in bagging second position in cargo handling.

In spite of the critical situation it is facing, the Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL) has achieved an all-time cargo handling record at the Paradip Port.
So, the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) Traffic Manager has awarded an excellence certificate to the OSL on Friday. On December 17, importers Adani Enterprises Limited and Arati Steel Limited 49,250 MT steam coal-loaded ship MV Panamax Breeze berthed at CQ-1. Within 19:30hours the OSL successfully discharged the cargo. This is an all time single record.
Notably, OSL MD Mahimananda Mishra and director Basanta Kumar Bal are now in jail custody. Senior executives Subash Acharya and Devi Prasad Tripathy are now absconding. The bank account of the OSL has been freezed from November 9. But, in spite of these adversities, the OSL cargo handling performance has not been affected.
Further, th PPT has achieved second position in cargo handling among the 12 major ports of the country. The maximum cargo of PPT has been handled by the OSL, which helped the port in bagging second position in cargo handling.
