New delhi:31.12.26:Prabasi Odia Conclave 2017 is focused on the participation of Odias living in and outside of the country. The first Prabasi Odia Conclave 2017 will be held in New Delhi from 6-8 January, 2017 and the plan is to make Odias aware about the steps taken by the government for all around development of Odisha and significant progress achieved by the state.The Odisha Forum will host the Prabasi Odia Conclave 2017 from January 6 to 8 in Delhi.
The three-day event will be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee, Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Pattnaik and Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan.
Among other dignitaries, State Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, and Tourism Minister Ashok Panda will grace the occasion.
The achievers of different areas of expertise will be honoured with the Prabasi Odia Samman 2017 on January 6.
Three significant seminars will be conducted on the topics of Odisha’s development issues. The participative panel discussion will be on future of Odisha, soft power and industry, digitalisation and skill development.
A special lecture will be delivered by Devdutt Pattanaik, renowned mythologist on “Global, National and Local Mythologies.” Three eminent Odia dancers will perform. The event will end with a visit to Neemrana, Rajasthan.Odisha Forum New Delhi has completed 18 years and presently has a membership of over 200 eminent Odias from all walks of life. The members include retired judges of Supreme Court of India, former chief secretaries of Odisha, retired and serving bureaucrats of the government of India, retired and serving bureaucrats government of Odisha and other states, eminent artists, lawyers, doctors, architects, business executives, academicians, students and other professionals.
